Rajasthan SET Exam – Rajasthan State Eligibility Test (RSET) is a state level examination valid in Rajasthan in India. The exam is held annually or once in five year and is open for aspirants who hold a Master level degree in the relevant subjects. Last time RSET test was conducted by Guru Govind Tribal University, (GGTU) in 2023.
Raj State Eligibility Test Qualification
- Master Degree with 55% Marks
- OBC NCL, SC, ST, PH Candidates – 50% Marks
- Final year’s appearing candidates are also eligible.
SET Exam 2023 Validity
- The SET certificate is valid for that particular State (Rajasthan) only and forever.
- Passing the RSET exam is a mandatory requirement for appointment as a Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in the state of Rajasthan. Candidates who pass the exam are eligible for appointment by universities/ colleges/ Recruitment Agencies as per their prescribed procedures and Rules & Regulations.
Rajasthan SET Qualifying Marks
So to qualify for Rajasthan SET Exam candidate must score 40% of total marks. Reserved category candidate will be eligible for relaxation as per following table.

Rajasthan SET Exam Pattern 2023
The RSET exam is divided into two papers. There will be 150 questions of 300 marks. Paper 1 is a general paper on teaching and research aptitude, which is common for all candidates regardless of their subject specialization. Paper 2 is a subject-specific paper, which tests the candidate’s knowledge of their chosen subject at the postgraduate level.
