Highlights: Master blaster of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar awarded the Sporting Moment 2000-2020 at the Laureus World Sports Awards event in Berlin (Germany). As many as 20 contenders, including Tendulkar, were in the race for the Best Laureus Sports Moment from 2000 to 2020. He was associated with India’s win in the 2011 World Cup, and got the title ‘Carried on the Shoulders of a Nation’.

The Laureus World Sports Award is given to players and teams in the field of sports. It was founded in 1999 by Daimler and Richemont, the founders of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. It is supported by its global partners Mercedes-Benz, IWC Schaffhausen, and MUFG. It is also given for the most sporting moments in the last 20 years.
